Brief Biography (English)

Dr Nailoke Kadhila is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science at the University of Namibia. She is responsible for Mycology, Diversity of life as well as Parasitology modules.

Dr Kadhila is fascinated by fungi but has developed the passion to deal with parasites. Most of her research is on indigenous Namibian medicinal and edible mushrooms. She has done the most research on the Ganoderma species and is currently working on documenting and cataloging them.

She also leads the Zero Emissions Research Initiative (ZERI) division within the Multidisciplinary Research Centre (MRC) that deals with Research, Innovation and Product Development on indigenous and exotic mushrooms. Dr Kadhila is also doing research on plants and parasites. Her motto is “Loving what you do is a vehicle to your success and happy living”.
