Brief Biography (English) Dr Miroslav (Micky) Josipovic obtained his PhD at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2009. He continued working in the research field by accepting a post-doctoral Fellowship (three years) with a collaborator group, at the North-West University in South Africa. Immediately thereafter he was offered a contract position to continue to manage the group’s atmospheric measurement station and contribute to the Research output of the group. The main research aim of the station is to make the observation of different atmospheric parameters possible relevant to climate change, regional pollution, atmosphere ecosystem interactions, aerosol chemistry and physics-based on medium to long-term measurements. The measurements are performed mainly by continuous atmospheric instrumentation and sensors with the addition of periodic, campaign and ad hoc measurements as well. Dr Josipovic received extensive Training by their external partners/collaborators to work with, calibrate and maintain such instrumentation and work with multi-point, high-density data such as those mainly being generated at their station.
