Badar Alam Iqbal has been appointed as a Member of International Editorial Advisory Board [IEAB] for Journal South Asian Survey , Sage publication. Iqbal has nominated as an expert of Academic Peer for QS Academic Global Survey 2021 by the University of Utara Malaysia (UUM). Iqbal is Former Fulbright Visiting Professor and Scholar in Residence (SIR); 2004 and 2016. Presently, He has been appointed Professor Extraordinaires in the College of Graduate Studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA). Iqbal is also Emeritus Professor; External-Relation- Chair of Research and Research Fellow at Frederic Bastiat Institute Africa, Ghana. External Fellow for Economy at the West Africa Institute (WAI) , Cabo Verde. Iqbal has been serving as an External Expert (assessor) to National Research Foundation (NRF). Serving Editor-in-Chief in Merit Research Journal of Education and Review, USA/Nigeria. Iqbal has been currently appointed as a Visiting professor and an External Member of Academic Quality Assurance Member to the Wider Institute of Technology (WIT), Ghana. Iqbal is serving as a Sage Monograph Editor, UK. He has appointed by the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) as Research Supervisor for MBA and PhD degrees. Iqbal is Editor-in-Chief in the Journal of Business and Technology Management [JBTM] published from UK. Iqbal has also been associated with the University College of Management Studies, Ghana.
He was born in India on 15th August 1951 and began his career in 1978, as an academician in various capacities and stature such as Lecturer during 1978 to 1986, Reader during 1986 to 1998, Professor since July 1998 and Dean during March 17, 2006 to March 16, 2008. He was Chairman in the Department of Commerce from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2011. He served as Vice Chancellor during December 23 to 26, 2007, and from February 2 to February 6, 2008 and worked as Full Professor in the Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University, India till August 31, 2016. Iqbal has also worked as Officiating Finance Officer, A.M.U. Aligarh. He was Member of University Court (Highest Body) and University’s Executive Council (Syndicate) for two years i.e. between March 2006 and March 2008. He was also the Member of Academic Council of the University. In 2010, he again became a Member of University Court. In September 2011, Iqbal was invited by SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry to speak on SAFTA at SAARC Business Leaders Conclave at Kathmandu, Nepal.
