Dr Omolayo Michael Ikumapayi earned a PhD degree at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Mechanical Engineering (option in Design and Production) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng) with Second class Honours (Upper Division) from the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Nigeria. He is a professional registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Dr Ikumapayi hasd both research experience and an appealing scholastic record with over 10 years of cognitive teaching experiences at the University level for both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. He has more than 150 Publications in international scholarly Journal articles and conference proceedings indexed in ISI/Scopus.

Other research interest areas are but not limited to renewable energy and biogas production from waste, physical metallurgy, Development of functionally graded components, Laser Coating, Laser Additive Manufacturing, thermal spraying, and electron beam welding.
