Brief Biography (English)

Dr. Stephen earned a BSc in Physics at the University of Ilorin and emerged as the best graduate in his class. Shortly after, he earned higher degrees and today holds a Ph.D. degree in Physics from the same University. His work revolves around the understanding the Physics of the upper atmosphere, and its effect on high frequency (HF) radio wave propagation and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) applications. He has published a good number of articles in peer-reviewed local and Thomson Reuters-indexed journals and serves as a reviewer to these journals and many more. Other recognitions for his works have come in form commendations from senior scientists and grants to attend some local and international symposiums/workshops. Recently, he was named a recipient of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) 2018 Young Scientist award in the Commission “G” category at an event in Gran Canaria, Canary Island. He is presently serving as the Head of the Physics Programme and Physical Sciences Department Postgraduate coordinator.
