Brief Biography (English)
Dr Suranie Horn is currently a Specialist Scientist at South African Medical Research Council.She was a post-doctoral fellow at North-West University. Her research involved screening medicinal plants for endocrine disruptive properties using cell cultures. The phytochemicals responsible for these effects are also instrumentally quantified. In collaboration with other researchers from my department, she quantify antiretrovirals and antibiotics present in water samples using LC/MS. She holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the North-West University, South Africa.
