Professor Jenny Hoobler (PhD - University of Kentucky, USA) is Professor and Doctoral Programmes Manager at the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Broadly, her research interests are in the areas of gender and diversity in the workplace, leadership, and work and family intersections. Prof Hoobler is an NRF B3-rated researcher with a Google Scholar H-index of 25, and her work has been cited nearly 4 500 times. In 2020 she became Associate Editor of the top industrial psychology and management journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology (JAP). She is the first Associate Editor of JAP from an African institution. Prof Hoobler is a Member of the Brain Trust of the U.S.-based non-profit, Catalyst, the leading think tank on women and work. Over the past five years, Prof Hoobler and her research team have received more than R1 110 000 in grant funding from national and international sources.
