Dr Binyam Hailu is Associate Professor of Remote Sensing and GIS at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia (2022 to Date). Assistant Prof (Jan 2016 to Oct 2022). Visiting Scholar, University of Helsinki, Finland (2021 to 2024). Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Marburg, Germany (2017 - 2020). He hold a PhD in Geoinformatics, Geography from University of Helsinki, Finland; an MSc in Remote Sensing and GIS, and a BSc in Geology from Addis Ababa University.
