Brief Biography (English)

Bao-Zhu Guo is a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He is the Research Professor at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing. He is the recipient of the One Hundred Talent Programme from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (1999), the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Distinguished Young Scholars (2003), and an expert of the first One Hundred Talent Programme of Shanxi Province, China.  His research interests are on Equations of population dynamics, Infinite dimensional system control, Dynamics of vibration and control, Partial differential equation system control, Semigroup of linear operators, Numerical solutions to optimal feedback control and  Active risturbance rejection control. He is also the member of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf).
