Tamara Rosemary Govindasamy is currently employed as a resource planning specialist in an investment management firm at Allan Gray, Cape Town. Research is her secondary focus at the moment. Govindasamy's research interests are around the application of AI and machine learning modeling for renewable energy predictions. She is currently investigating the impact of these models on climate change models. They are also considering a comparison between performance of machine learning models and surrogate models. Her previous work focused on the use of readily available meteorological variables for the prediction of global solar radiation across South Africa to encourage the investment into renewable energy resources.
