Dr Arman Goudarzi received a BSc. degree from IAUB, Bushehr, Iran, in 2009, and the MSc and PhD. degrees from the Mapua University and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, in the Philippines and South Africa in 2012 and 2017, respectively, all in electrical engineering. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the College of Electrical at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, P.R. China. In 2018, he has been selected as an international talent by the Chinese government under the talent introduction program. He has worked as a reviewer for various international journals and conferences, where he is currently a scientific committee member of ICCE 2020 at Ottawa, Canada, and ICREN 2020 in Rome, Italy. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Lecturer with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mapua University, Manila, the Philippines, where he taught various courses and conducted research on power systems analysis and economics. From 2013 to 2018, he held several academic ranks (highest senior lecturer) with the School of Engineering, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa, where he taught a number of courses and researched different aspects of power systems engineering. His main research interests include power system optimization, electricity markets, microgrids, Internet of energy (IOE), modeling, and integration of renewable energies, demand response programs (DRPs), and smart grids.
