Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba obtained his first degree in Biochemistry at the University of Maiduguri, Borno, Nigeria in 1992. After his National Youth Service, He joined the services of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi as a Graduate Assistant and rose through the ranks to a full Professor in 2012. He has held or is still holding several responsibilities, including Head of Department of Biochemistry, Dean, Faculty of Science, Centre Leader, World Bank Sustainable Procurement, Environment and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) Project, and Chairman, Molecular Genetics and Infectious Disease Research Laboratory, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. Prof Garba, is a Fellow of the Poverty-Related Diseases and Development College (PRD) College, an International Post-Doctoral Training Programme anchored by the University of Yaounde I with funding from the European Union's Framework (FP-7) Programme.
