Thomas (Tony) Ford is an Emeritus Professor of Theoretical Chemistry at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is an active researcher, with a steady record of about 4 peer-reviewed articles per year recently. His more than 160 papers in peer-reviewed journals attest to his productivity, and his H-index of 25 and the nearly 1600 citations of his work, excluding self-citations, demonstrates his international recognition. Internationally, he has been a member of the International Advisory Committee of the European Congress on Molecular Spectroscopy since 1981 and has been an active member of the editorial board of the Journal of Molecular Structure since 1984.
