Prof Kalep Bulus Filli has a BSc, an MSc and a PhD in Food Science & Technology. He also has a Post-Doc in Biopolymer Extrusion. Prof Filli is a former Grantee of the International Foundation for Science in Sweden.
He has been a Visiting Scientist and former VINNMER Fellow to the Research Institutes of Sweden and Chalmers University of Technology, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Prof Filli also served as the Head of the Food Science and Technology Department, Federal University of Technology Yola, Nigeria. He is Competent in the field of biopolymer extrusion. Prof Filli is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science & Technology and has a solid background in FST with a good understanding of biopolymer systems.
Prof Filli Teaches courses devoted to food engineering and processing aspects of food science and related biomaterials. He is engaged in Research on experimental and theoretical aspects of biopolymer extrusion processes, process optimization, physical and engineering properties of biomaterials and novel food processing technologies.
His major long-term goal is to Develop new and improved extrusion operations for value-added processing of African food and biomaterials for the global market.
He has Published over 50 technical papers. Recognition of contributions in these areas have provided ample opportunities to Collaborate, Present Talks and interact with professionals in numerous countries in Africa, Asia and Europe.
