Dr Olayemi Jola Fakayode (BSc Ed, MSc, PhD) is a Nanomaterial Scientist at the University of South Africa. He is one of the Leading Research Scientists in the field of Green Chemistry and Nanoelectrochemistry. Dr Fakayode's core research topics include nanomagnetism and nano-micro-electrochemistry interfaces.
He obtained his PhD from the University of Johannesburg in 2018. His thesis was based on the utility of a magnetic field-driven superparamagnetic iron oxide-gold core-shell-porphyrin conjugate for the elimination of human breast cancer cells.
Currently, Dr Fakayode is working on an "electrochemical detection and degradation of natural organic matter in water" project.
He is a Member of the South African Chemical Institute (SACI).
