Dr. Ezeokoli is an experienced researcher with skills in molecular microbiology, microbial ecology, microbe-microbe interactions, data mining, and scientific writing. His research interests include understanding factors that drive the microbial communities of several ecosystems as well as mediate microbe-host interactions. His research goals are towards ensuring environmental sustainability, public health, and safety. Research activities have resulted in over 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications, conference presentations, and six awards. Dr. Ezeokoli is currently working on understanding the mechanisms of iron homeostasis in Candida albicans during interactions with synergistic and antagonistic bacteria in polymicrobial biofilms.
