Brief Biography (English)

Dr Olusegun S. Ewemooje holds an MSc and a PhD in Statistics and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Population and Health Research Entity of North-West University, South Africa, between 2019-2020. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Statistics, at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Dr Ewemooje is experienced in both qualitative and quantitative research. He Played critical roles in the delivery of three large British Council’s Mixed Method studies, including a study on a language of delivery in theatre drama and, a two-year MacArthur Foundation-funded research on Gender and Teacher Education. Dr Ewemooje is a Research Analyst; Project & Client Manager and Statistical Consultant with Statistics Without Borders (SWB) and Contributed to the delivery of DHN-OCHA Libya Tableau Project (Libyan Conflict Humanitarian Needs), Asante Africa Foundation’s Girls advancement programme (funded by the Procter & Gamble Company) and the African Child Policy Forum project that involved a review and validation of the revised version of the Child-friendliness Index of African Governments. Besides his Engagement in qualitative and mixed-method studies, a Professional Statistician – a Fellow (Graduate Statistician) with the Royal Statistical Society London, he is also interested in sample survey designs and applications, population & health studies, education statistics and environmental statistics.
