Professor Mostafa El-Sheekh is Professor of Phycology. He has nearly 35 years of experience in the research and teaching in the field of algae, microbiology and its applications. Prof El-Sheekh served as the Dean Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt and Cultural Counsellor in Egyptian Embassy in Yemen and Uzbekistan and Vice president of Tanta University for postgraduate studies and Research. He is now the director of the Project management unit at Tanta University, Egypt. Prof El-Sheekh holds a PhD in Phycology from Tanta University and University of Göttingen, Germany as Chanel System Fellowship. He received several postdoc fellowships in Hungary, India, Sweden, Czech Republic, and Japan. Notably, He has authored 204 papers and, 10 Book chapters, and 3 books. He also serves as editorial member and reviewer for more than 70 peer reviewed Journals. He published many papers on the production of biodiesel, ethanol and hydrogen from algae. He has also 2 book chapters about the biodiesel production from microalgae and one book on the renewable energy. He is from the top 2% of the Scientists in the field of Biological Sciences as published by Stanford University depending on the Scopus database. He is now serving as editor for 2 books in Elsevier and one book in Bentham publisher.
