Brief Biography (English)

Waleed M. A. El Rouby has earned his MSc and PhD degrees from the Beni-Suef University, Egypt in May 2008, and November 2011 respectively. In September 2013 he worked as an assistant professor at the Beni-Suef University, Egypt. In September 2015 he got Erasmus Munds postdoctoral fellowship at the Universidade de Vigo, Spain. In December 2017, he got a postdoctoral position for 2 years at Institut de Chimie Moléculaire et des Matériaux d'Orsay, Recherche et Innovation en Electrochimie pour l'Energie, Université Paris-Sud, France. Now, he is an associate professor of Materials Science and Nanotechnology at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Sciences, Beni-Suef University. His research work focusing on the elaboration of different morphological nanomaterials for different purposes such as water splitting, methanol electrooxidation, water treatment, photocatalysis, and sensing applications. He has more than 50 international peers reviewed publication and 18 conference participation. He participated in organizing more than 12 international conferences and workshops. He has an excellent collaboration network in Egypt, South Africa, Spain, France, the USA, and some Arabic countries. He is the PI for 6 research projects, Co-PI for 4 projects, and member in another 4 projects funded from different funding organizations. He is the coordinator for 2 Erasmus projects in collaboration with Vigo University.
