Brief Biography (English)
Professor Abdelkader Douaoui in soil science at the University Center of Tipaza (Centre Universitaire de Tipaza) in Algeria. His academic focus includes various aspects of soil resources and water quality, spatial analysis, and soil salinity, which are, for him, critical areas of research given the environmental challenges faced in Algeria and similar regions like Africa.
His research focuses on salinity and the application of geomatics and spatial analysis techniques (GIS, remote sensing, geostatistic, machine learning...) to assess and manage salinity and soil and water resources effectively. Prof Douaoui also work on other aspects of soil degradation (soil erosion, soil sealing), ecosystem protection and agroecology.
