Brief Biography (English)
Dr. Didace Nshimiyimana is an official of the Supreme Court - Judiciary of Rwanda. He works as a Judge of the High Court/Kigali - Rwanda. He obtained his Ph.D degree from The Open University Of Tanzania, Tanzania. His LLM degree was obtained from the Université Catholique de Bukavu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
His LLB degree was obtained from the Kigali Independent University ULK, in his home country, Rwanda. He has worked in different areas of Public entities in Rwanda. Specifically, he worked as Chief of Political and Administrative Unity of District, Executive Secretary of District, Judge, President of the Primary Court, Judge of Intermediate Courts, Vice President of Intermediate Court, and President of Intermediate Court over the years. He is currently a Judge of the High Court in Rwanda, Chamber of International Crimes.
His research interests primarily include the research on issues surrounding the rule of law, human rights, judicial law, legitimacy of legal systems, and international criminal law. He has published articles in these fields.
