Prof Ahmed M. Diab is an Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Rural Sociology and Agricultural Extension, Faculty of Agriculture, New Valley University. He holds BSc, MSc in Rural Sociology & Agriculture Extension with very good with honor from Assiut University, 2003, 2008, respectively, and PhD in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Cairo University, 2012. His previous work experience was a Research Assistant (2005-2008), and a Researcher for Socio-economic division at the Desert Research Center, Egypt, 2012. In 2014 Prof Ahmed M. Diab Joined Assiut University, New Valley Branch. His research interests are Agricultural and extension education, Diffusion and Adoption of Innovations, Agricultural Innovation System, Rural Development, and Rural Information. He also Co-chair of Egyptian Young Academy of Science (EYAS); Member of Food and Agriculture council, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Director of Technology Innovation Commercialization Office (TICO), and Director of Project Management Unit (PMU) New Valley University, PI, Co-PI, team leader, consultant for several national and international projects, National consultant in FAO (2017-2018). Prof Ahmed M. Diab has more than 30 published research articles, and invited speaker in several international conferences.
