Dr Dziedzom de Souza a Senior Research Fellow with the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), University of Ghana. He obtained his PhD in Biological Sciences from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana in 2011. His interests are in the Molecular Biology of Disease Vectors and Parasites, Lymphatic Filariasis and other Neglected Tropical Diseases. Currently, his main research focus involves assessing the transmission and control of Lymphatic Filariasis. he has led study investigations, and have been involved in providing training, diagnostics, monitoring and evaluation support to countries in Africa including, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Togo and Ethiopia. His other research interests include malaria and Buruli ulcer transmission and diagnosis.
Dr de Souza has received many local and international competitive awards for young scientists. He has over 70 peer reviewed publications in international peer reviewed journals.He is fluent in English and French.
