Brief Biography (English)

Dr Taofik Oyedele Dauda joined the Institute as a Junior Research Fellow (Biometrics) in 2003 and rose through the rank to Principal Research Fellow/Reader (Biometrics) on 1st October 2017. He has served as the Institute’s Biometrician responsible for the experimental design, sampling and data collection techniques as well as data analysis of many Researches as well as to outsider. He has also facilitated many experimental design and data analysis workshops for both Scientists and Superintendents in the Institute. Dr Dauda was the brain behind the Institute’s Rainfall Information Systems for the South West Nigeria and was instrumental to the successful experimental design of many PhD theses in the Institute. He was the head of Information Technology Unit of the Institute (between 2018 -2019) and Statistics and Biometrics Units (between 2019 and 2020). He is an active member of Seminar Committee of the Institute since 2016 and had served in various other Ad-hoc committee of the Institute. He was an active participant in many grants won in the Institute including Competitive Agricultural Research Grant (CARG) in 2010 and the Tetfund Research Grant for Nutrient Dense Garri Production in 2021. He has more than Fifty  publications (majority of which are foreign based).
