Professor Daramola is a chartered Chemical Engineer (C.Eng.) with the UK Engineering Council, a Registered Engineer with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a C-rated researcher by the South African National Research Foundation (NRF), and a member of some 12 professional bodies. His extensive experience in teaching and research, spanning more than 15 years, coupled with the international exposure that he acquired, has sharpened his professional growth and development as a researcher and a lecturer. His research primarily focus on chemical and bio-process engineering focusing on nano-materials/nanotechnology and bio-resource engineering (waste treatment and valorization). He has contributed more than 150 publications (journal, refereed conference proceedings, books/book chapters, and 2 patents) as knowledge capacity, and mentored 6 postdoctoral fellows, and supervised to completion 11 PhD, 21 MSc, and 6 Postgraduate Diploma students as the human capacity to these fields. Professor Daramola's research has a two-fold focus on achieving a balance between fundamental research and industrial application aimed at proffering solutions to various problems mitigating sustainable energy and clean environment in South Africa, Africa, and the world at large. He also completed several certified training programmes in a wide range of fields, which has inspired my multidisciplinary approach to solving problems.
