Peter Dankelmann is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Johannesburg. He was a Professor of Mathematics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Senior Lecturer in the Mathematics Department at the University of Durban.
In 2007 Prof Dankelmann was elected as a Member of the prestigious Academy of Science of South Africa. He has a B2-rating from the National Research Foundation, having been rated by the organization since 1996.
In 2005 the UKZN nominated Prof Dankelmann for the national NSTF Science and Technology Award in Category B, which is for the Best Contribution of an Individual over Five Years. Since 1996 he has been a Member of the Editorial Board of the international ISI-rated journal: Utilitas Mathematica.
