Prof. Cumbane is a Research and Extension Director at the Academy of Police Sciences ACIPOL and Manager of the Professional Master Course in Police Sciences for Public Security and Criminal Investigation at ACIPOL. He is also a Teacher and Researcher in the following disciplines, Police Procedures; Administrative law; Security Planning and Diagnosis Theories; Information and Analysis (ACIPOL); Environment and Sustainable Development; Disaster Response and Sustainable Recovery at Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM); Public Administration Theories; Formulation and Analysis of Public Policies at Joaquim Chissano University. He Led the creation of the ACIPOL Scientific Magazine that has been produced since 2019. Prof. Cumbane is an Author of scientific articles on the theme of Public Security, Public Administration, Police and Public Policy Management which includes Susceptibility of urban fires in the districts of the Municipality of Maputo; The principle of proportionality in police actio n; Citizenship education as a factor for preventing, managing and resolving conflicts before, during and after elections and Sale and Consumption of Narcotic Drugs - A case study of the jurisdiction of the 6th Police Station of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in Maputo Province.
