Brief Biography (English)

Robin Michael Crewe is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship and a member of the Social Insects Research Group of the University of Pretoria, past President of the Academy of Science of South Africa and past Chair of the Network of African Science Academies.

He is a Council Member of The World Academy of Sciences and is Co-Chair of an InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) working group entitled “Harnessing Science, Engineering, and Medicine to address Africa’s challenges”. Prof Crewe's research interests are in Entomology, Chemical Ecology, and Genetics.
