Brief Biography (English)
Dr Antony Cooper is a Principal Researcher in the Smart Places Cluster at the CSIR in Pretoria, South Africa. His recent activities cover geographical information science (GISc) theory and applications, standards, spatial data infrastructures (SDIs), volunteered geographical information (VGI), urban futures, crime science, crime mapping and analysis, metadata, classification, terminology, addresses, ethics, policies, and programme management. He is an Extraordinary Lecturer at the University of Pretoria and a member of the statutory body, the Committee for Spatial Information (CSI). He has a PhD and is a Registered Professional GISc Practitioner (PGP).
