Dr. Prosper Chopera is a Senior Research Scientist at Zvitambo Institute for Maternal and Child Health. Previously she had the role of senior lecturer and researcher with the Department of Nutrition Dietetics and Food Science at the University of Zimbabwe . Prosper has more than 15 years’ experience in the field of public health nutrition specifically micronutrients and health, food security, and food fortification. She is a holder of a BSc Nutrition Science from the University of Zimbabwe, an MSc Nutrition and Health (specialization public health nutrition) from Wageningen University, The Netherlands, and a Ph.D. in Nutrition from the same university as well as a postgraduate certificate in Clinical Nutrition from Catholic University Leuven, Belgium. She has supervised and evaluated projects in the following fields: Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition Education and Communication, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Micronutrients, and Macronutrients. She has contributed to more than 15 notable conferences and is well published. Prosper aims to combine research and humanitarian work to improve the quality of life for vulnerable population groups of the world.
