Brief Biography (English)
Prof Margaret Chitiga-Mabugu is the Director of the School of Public Management and Administration at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
She obtained her PhD in Economics at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, with her Research focus on the economy-wide impacts of public policies on income distribution.
Prof Chitiga-Mabugu's Research interests are in tracing and analyzing the effects of government policies on households, and on the broader economy. She has applied various modeling approaches to answering questions on environmental policies, trade policies and various socioeconomic policies, amongst others.
Prof Chitiga-Mabugu has Published both locally and internationally.
She is an NRF rated Researcher.
