Dr Wisemen Chingombe is a hardworking and self-motivated person who is always excited to face new challenges in his academic and professional career. He has a strong interest in researching issues that affect the environment, development, climate change, and humans in their daily endeavors. Wisemen's research interests are in Hydrolimatology and Water Resource Management, Catchment Management, Climate Variability, and Change, Participatory GIS Applications, Environmental Geography, Environmental Geomorphology, Geomorphosites, and Education. Wisemen has taught at Allan Wilson Boys High School in Harare, Zimbabwe from the 1st of September 1991 to 31st December in 1999. Started University teaching on the 1st of February 2002 in the Department of Geography at Bindura University of Science Education until 07 March 2013. Department Chairman 2005 to 2007, BUSE and was acting Dean of the Faculty of Science Education 2007, BUSE latter was founding Acting Dean, Faculty of Sciences 2012, BUSE. He did his Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of the Free State, RSA. March 2013 to June 2014 and joined Fort Hare University, RSA, July 2014 to June 2016 as a Senior Lecturer. Currently Senior Lecturer at the University of Mpumalanga from June 2016 and also is a Committee Member of the NRF Global Change Science Committee since 2018. he has been an active member of SANOCEAN IC. Currently is UMP Chair of the Time Table Committee of the Senate since 2018. Wisemen is a Member of the Mbombela Environmental Management Forum since 2018 . Currently, he is the Deputy Chairperson, Global Change Science Committee of the NRF/D.
