Brief Biography (English)
Dr Ernest Chi Fru was born in the English-speaking North West Region of Cameroon. He later moved to Sweden where he studied for a Master's degree in Biology and a PhD in Geomicrobiology at Gothenburg University. Presently, Dr Chi Fru a senior lecturer at Cardiff University and, as the director of postgraduate studies in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. His research brings together geochemistry, biogeochemistry, microbiology, and geology to study the chemical and biological evolution of the ocean-atmosphere system through Earth history. This research is supported by a collaborative network across major academic institutions in Africa, Europe, and South, and North America.
