Mr Pascoal Micolo Diogo de Campos, is an Assistant Researcher at National Centre for Scientific Research of Angola (CNIC). He has a Master´s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Agostinho Neto University (Angola), a Graduate Degree in Engineering (GDE) in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) and a Bachelor Science with Honours in Geological and Environmental Engineering from the University of Pretoria (South Africa). He was a Tutorial Assistant of the module geological engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and a Lecturer of Physical and Urban Geography at the Lusíadas University of Angola. He has participated in environmental, geotechnical, air pollution, groundwater and wastewater impact studies in South Africa and Angola.
He has professional training in the areas of renewable energy from the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), India; technology transfer from the Southern African Research & Innovation Management Association (SARIMA), South Africa; Scientific Innovation, South Korea; waste management at the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa (IWMSA), South Africa; mining at the South African Institute for Engineering and Environmental Geologists (SAIEG), South Africa; environmental auditing, Angola; and project management at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Brazil.
He is a member of professional associations, namely, the Order of Engineers of Angola (OEA), American Association of Aerosol Research (AAAR), African Society of Air Quality (ASAQ), Southern African Institute of Waste Management (IWMSA), American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA). He was awarded a Master´s Degree Scholarship by the National Institute of Scholarship Management of Angola (INAGBE) in 2018 and an honourable mention for excellence as a board member of the Geological Society of the University of Pretoria (GSUP) by the Representative Board of the University of Pretoria – South Africa in 2006; He masters several software packages such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Publisher, Photoshop, Process Mudflow, PHREEQC, SpheriStat, QGIS, ArcView, ArcGIS, Autocad, Autodesk Maya, Flash MX, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for Lasers 2015, WRPLOT , Pathways, Command line, GDAL, Python, PyQGIS, PCRaster, Map Algebra, MatLab. He speaks Portuguese, English, French and German.
