Prof Geremew Bultosa`s expertise includes Food Science, Food Chemistry, Food Analysis, Grain Science and Technology, Starches Characterization and Industrial Exploitation, Postharvest Management and Value Addition to Grains, Edible Plants Exploitation for Nutrients and Bioactive Compounds, Foods Design for Nutrition Improvement, Weaning Foods Development, Indigenous Foods Improvement.

He has more than 32 years of Teaching experience at University level in the area of Food Science/Food Chemistry, Food Nutrition, Food Chemical Safety, Grain Processing.

Prof Bultosa has been Head of the Department: Food Science and Technology at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN), Botswana, from 10 August 2012 to 30 June 2016 and Food Science and Postharvest Technology at Haramaya University, Ethiopia from 15 January 2008 to 6 February 2012.

He has extensive Experience in Developing and Implementing academic programmes in the area of Food Science and Technology. Prof Bultosa has 79 Publications (71 Peer-Reviewed Journal Articles, six Articles in authoritative reference Books, one Paper in a refereed Conference Proceeding, and one Poster Paper in a Conference Proceeding).

He was an International Foundation for Science (IFS) grantee. Prof Bultosa has Supervised 5 PhD and 53 MSc postgraduate students toward successful completion.
