Professor Ehab H. E. Bayoumi [Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)] received his BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in electrical power engineering from Helwan University, Ain Shams University, and Cairo University, Egypt, in 1988, 1996, and 2001, respectively. He has been with the Electronic Research Institute (ERI) in Cairo, Egypt, since 1990. From 2000 to 2001, he joined LUT University, Finland, as a Visiting Researcher. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, from 2003 to 2005. He was appointed as an Associate Professor at Electronics Research Institute (ERI), Egypt in 2008. In 2014, he was retained as a Full Professor at Electronics Research Institute (ERI), Egypt. He is presently a Full Professor at The British University in Egypt. Moreover, he served in academic and management positions at Yanbu Industrial College in Saudi Arabia, Higher Colleges of Technology in the United Arab Emirates, University of Eswatini in Eswatini, Egyptian Chinese University in Egypt, and the University of Botswana in Botswana. His research interests include high-performance AC machines, power quality, Switching power converters in smart and microgrids, and nonlinear control applications in power electronics, smart grids, and electric drive systems. Prof Bayoumi was appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Industrial Electronics and Drives from 2013 until 2022.
