Brief Biography (English)
Dr Wisdom Basera is a Senior Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council and works as Project Manager on the Linkage to Care study.
He has experience in allergology with an emphasis on food allergy and other co-morbid allergic conditions. Dr Basera has worked on clinical trials that tested remedies in cardiac conditions associated with M-TB. He has also developed environmental exposure matrices for chemicals that physiologically affect human development.
His professional interests include Research in the Epidemiology of Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Public Health systems in Sub-Saharan Africa, Health Promotion, Monitoring and Evaluation of programs and Health policies.
