Prof. Bamaiyi attended Pare Primary School, Numan, Adamawa State, Nigeria for his Primary education between 1978-1983 and later proceeded to Sakato (Villanova) Government Secondary School, Numan, Nigeria, in January 1984 for his Secondary School Education which was completed in November/December 1988 with the award of the WASC/GCE. He proceeded to the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 1997/98. He later proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria for his Master of Science in Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine graduating in 2004. Prof. Bamaiyi later proceeded for his PhD to Malaysia at the Universiti Putra Malaysia graduating in 2014. He was a Lecturer at Adamawa State University, Mubi, Nigeria, Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Associate Professor at Kampala International University, and currently a Professor at the University of Jos, Nigeria. He is married with three children.
