Prof Olubukola Babalola has postdoctoral experiences from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, as well as the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. She is Vice President of the Organization for Woman in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) with 46 African countries under her jurisdiction. Prof Babalola is the Director of Food Security and Safety, North-West University, and the Principal Investigator of the Microbial Biotechnology group turning out MSc and PhD students in record time. She has a prolific career with over 200 research outputs.
Prof Babalola has 40 professional certificates in her area of interest from the University of California, Berkeley, USA, the University of Mauritius, Reduit, the North-West University, South Africa as well as the University of Bradford, UK to mention a few. She holds the PhD in Plant-Microbe Interactions from University of Ibadan, Nigeria; an MSc in Microbiology from University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a BSc Honours in Microbiology from Ogun State University now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria.
