Professor Azeez studied Agriculture (Soil Science) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta between 1990 and 2005. During these years, he obtained B. Agric (1997), M. Agric (2000), and PhD (Soil Science) in 2005. Between 2002-2005, He was a research fellow at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, and also a post-Doctoral Fellow and later Visiting Scientist/Lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa between February 2009 and October 2010. He is currently a lecturer and scientist at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. His principal research interests have been in Soil and Environmental Chemistry, Soil Fertility, and Pollution Studies. He is a professor of Soil Chemistry and Principal Investigator in collaborative research sponsored by Royal Society-DFID Africa Capacity Building Initiative Programme Awards in December 2014 with a total value of One Million, One Hundred and Thirty-Two Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty-Two Pounds (£1,132,162.00). He was also a member, Steering Committee of the Nigeria Soil Health Consortium Southwest_South-south Node sponsored by Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). He has published about 100 articles in reputable publications. he also reviews articles for over 25 journals.
