Brief Biography (English)
Abiodun Ayodele was born on 31 December, 1962, obtained his Secondary School certificate in 1979, offered admission into Botany in 1981 at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Nigeria, and graduated in 1985. He obtained his MSc and PhD in Plant Taxonomy and Systematics in 1990 and 2000 respectively from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Nigeria. Employed as an Assistant Lecturer by the University of Ibadan in January 1996, he rose through the ranks to become a Professor of Botany in 2010. Formerly the Head of Department of Botany (2016-2019) and presently the Dean of the Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
