Dr Ayodele holds BSc in Botany in 1986 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria, MSc in Microbial plant pathology was from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He started an academic career in 1993 at Delta State University, Abraka as Assistant Lecturer. In 2006, obtained a PhD in Botany from the University of Benin; Nigeria. He rose to the rank of senior lecturer at the Delta State University, Abraka in 2007. In 2008, He was appointed Senior Lecturer at Kogi State University, Anyigba where he rose to the rank of Professor in 2013. At Kogi State University, He was appointed pioneer Director of Centre for Pre-Degree and Diploma studies, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Natural Science, and Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences. From 2013 to 2014, He was invited as a visiting Professor at Medicinal Plants and Economic Development Research Centre, Department of Botany, University of Fort Hare, Alice, South Africa. In October 2017, He was appointed as a Professor at the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja. Dr. Ayodele is currently the Director of the Abuja Model Study Centre, the second largest study center of the National Open University of Nigeria. He has over 40 research publications in peer-reviewed and recognized Journals, locally and internationally.
