Mr Olusola Ayandele is a lecturer and social-health psychologist at the Polytechnic Ibadan, Department of Social Science in Ibadan, Nigeria. He is the Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the POLYCOM Journal. He has published on many topics including mental health, behavioral addiction, body image, public health responses to crises like COVID-19, social and environmental determinants of health as well as Africana studies. His research involves quantitative and qualitative methods. He has co-published 2 textbooks on Introduction to Psychology and Social Psychology, contributed a chapter on Values, Identity, and Sustainable Development in Africa and co-authored an entry in The Global Encyclopedia of Informality: Understanding Social and Cultural Complexity, Volume 3.
Mr Ayandele has been honoured with an Award of Excellence for his contributions to students’ academic success at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Nigeria, a COVID-19 Publication Expenses Support Grant sponsored by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, USA; Conference, Travel & Accommodation Grants sponsored by Institut Français du Nigeria, The French Embassy, and IFRA-Nigeria; and Fellowships in the Institut Francais de Recherche en Afrique (IFRA-Nigeria) and Ife Institute of Advanced Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Mr Ayandele is also a member of the Nigerian Psychological Association, Lagos Studies Association, Nigerian Association of Social Psychologists, American Psychological Association, and the Association for Psychological Science. Mr Ayandele has published in esteemed journals, including Frontiers in Psychology, International Journal of Mental Health and Addiction, PLoS One, International of Environmental Research & Public Health, Journal of Gambling Issues, and Body Image. His works have garnered over 1,000 citations on Google scholar.
