Yirsaw Ayalew is Head and Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Botswana (UB). He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Klagenfurt with a specialization in Software Engineering. His research interests include software testing and debugging, end user software engineering, requirements engineering, software maintenance, software process improvement and software engineering for healthcare systems. He serves as member of organizing and programme committees of many international conferences such as 2nd African Conference on Software Engineering and Applied Computing, 32nd ACM/IEEE International Conference on Software Engineering- Software Engineering Education Track, IASTED International Conference on Software Engineering, ACM/IEEE Symposium on Software Engineering in Africa (now African Conference on Software Engineering), and programme committe member of Cooperative and Human Aspects of Software Engineering (CHASE 2021), which is co-located conference at ACM/IEEE International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) in 2021. Currently, he is a reviewer for journals such as IEEE Access, African Journal of Research in Mathematics, Science and Technology Education and International Journal of Software Engineering, Technology and Applications.
