Brief Biography (English)

Dr Chidiebere Maduabuchi Arinzechukwu is a lecturer in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria. He holds a BSc Honours degree in Industrial Chemistry, MSc in Physical Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology Owerri and PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology Owerri. He was a Postgraduate (CAS-TWAS) Research Fellow (2012 – 2013) at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang, China.

Dr Arinzechukwu's research interest is on the formulation of environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors from plant extracts, electrochemical and theoretical investigation of corrosion phenomena in different corrosive environments, molecular modeling of material behavior and electronic structure analysis using Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation.

Dr Arinzechukwu made a meaningful contribution to clarifying adsorption and corrosion inhibition mechanisms of some organic molecules as well as application of biomass corrosion inhibitors for protection of metals and has over 25 publications in high impact factor journals. Currently he is working on the Synthesis of non-toxic materials for Supercapacitor Application.
