Prof Benjamin Aribisala is a Professor of Computer Science and the immediate past Dean of Faculty of Science at Lagos State University. He is also the Chairman of ICT Advisory and a member of the Governing Council of Lagos State University. Professor Aribisala obtained his PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, UK. His research career and experience cover the United Kingdom and Nigeria. For example, he has worked at the University of Edinburgh, Newcastle University, and the University of Birmingham. He combines his expertise in Computer Science, Mathematics to conduct clinical research. His current research interests span the fields of medical image analysis, data science, machine learning, magnetic resonance imaging, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. His focus is on developing methodologies for early and improved diagnosis of medical conditions. He has over 100 scientific articles and, he is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Research and Review in Science. He reviewed many journals in the UK, and America e.g. Nature Neuroscience. He is a member of the British Computer Society and the society for brain mapping and therapeutics. He was a member of the Technical Advisory Board for the African Open Science Platform (AOSP).
