Professor Benfdila Arezki (DSc, MPhil, Eng.) is a Senior Professor and Research Director in the field of Electronic Engineering and Nanotechnology. He has been teaching since 1990 and directing research projects since 1994. He has about 80 publications and 130 conference participations. He was promoted to the Full Professor Level in July 2005.
At the national level, he participated in the National Program Committee for Electronic Engineering. He initiated the Microelectronics program and has been a leader in it for about 30 years. He headed the Department and Faculty scientific councils.
He has been in different Expert Group at Ministry level, both in academics and Research.
He had more than 15 PhD students who have defended their theses. Some of them became full professors. Moreover, he directed more than 100 senior Master/Eng. Projects. He has been elected expert at the Ministry level for both research and academics. He organized the first continental and international conference on Micro and nanotechnologies in 2006.
At the international level, he has been invited as a guest scientist in several countries, He participated as a keynote/invited speaker in several international conferences. He got recognition for this role.
He was elected associate at the Abus Salam ICTP-UNESCO-IAEA in Trieste in 1999. He kept the position till 2015. Right now he is a friend of ICTP. He has been a reviewer and associate editor in specialized journals. He became an Elsevier panel member and a member of some African scientific organisations.
