Okwudiri Anasiudu teaches Literary Theory and Criticism, Pop Culture, Drama and Biographical Studies. His research critically engages with new ways of reading or theoretical approaches to African texts or texts on Africa. He likes reading, swimming and farming. He is passionate about educating young Africans in order to help them solve their problems themselves. This is inspired by a knowing that education is the key which unlocks the creative essence of every nation. This kind of education should be a catalyst, one which tolerates curiosity, inquiry and engages the mind towards the discovery of one’s innate abilities, potentials, identity and selfhood. He has published in African Identities, JALA, Global South Literary Studies Journal of Gender and Power, Imbizo, Topics in Linguistics, and Research in African Literatures. He took a BA (First Class) and a PhD in English Studies at the University of Port Harcourt. He is the winner of the Nigeria Prize for Literary Criticism 2025.
