Dr Paul Ocheje Ameh is currently a Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Chemistry Nigeria Police Academy Wudil Kano State Nigeria with interest in Physical, Theoretical and Polymer Chemistry, Instrumental / automated methods of analysis, biomaterials, material science and quantum chemical modeling. He obtained a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, a Degree of Master of Science in Polymer Science & Technology and a Bachelor degree in Chemistry both from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He also has a postgraduate diploma in education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria. He is a member of the African Corrosion Research group currently synthesizing and investigating the corrosion inhibition of green inhibitors in different media using computational, electrochemical, gravimetric, hydrogen evolution and thermometric methods. Dr Ameh has held several positions within the University among whom is the Headship of Nigeria Police Academy Department of Chemistry ; Deputy Dean of Sciences and Director General Studies Unit. Currently, He is ranked number one scientist in his university according to 2025 AD scientific index recently released. He has been Technical secretary of Federal Government of Nigeria Technical Committee on the development of standards for Agrochemicals, Chemical, Cosmetics and Allied Products since 2014. He is an expert to International Standard Organisation (ISO) as one of Nigeria representative in the fertilizer and bio-simulants working group / technical committee. He was a technical expert to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Committee meeting on Petroleum, Liquid fuels and Lubricants at New Orleans United States of America in December 2019. Dr Ameh is an academic consultant to National Open University of Nigeria, a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Polymer Institute of Nigeria and Asian Council of Science Editors. He is also an editorial board member of several Journals and a reviewer to more than twenty (20) journals in Chemistry & material science. Dr Paul is a widely rated international scholar who has published more than sixty (60) international journals articles, written eight (8) textbooks of international reputation and he is the lead author of over eighteen (18) Federal Government of Nigeria Gazettes (Technical Reports). His published articles have gained wide readership which have earned him over one thousand nine hundred and seventy five (1975) google scholar citations with H – index and i10 – index of 17 and 31 respectively He is currently one of the investigator in several funded researches including: (i) Production of nano oxides for utilization in the design of water treatment plant (funded by Federal Government of Nigeria National Research Fund) (ii) Phosphate fertilizers and adaptability of plants grown in Nigeria soil (funded by OCP Africa Morocco) (iii) Development of corrosion inhibitors for oil field applications (Funded by Chinese Academy of Science Dr Ameh has been a guest lecturer in four (4) international events and sixteen (16) National events. He has been a certified Publons Academy supervisor which has given him the opportunity to have successfully tutored and graduated many student as practiced and qualified peer reviewers in Chemistry.
