Dr Zerihun Yohannes Amare is a PhD graduate in Environmental Management with a specialization in climate change and Development. He is an assistant professor at the Institute of Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Studies (IDRMFSS) of Bahir Dar University. His role in the University is teaching, research and community outreaches. He is a founding member of a charity organisation named Family and Community Transformation (FACT) working for the vulnerability communities. He has more than ten peer-reviewed published articles. He implemented individual and University level projects as coordinator and team member in the University and independent research group. He has research collaboration experience in Austria, Mozambique, Burkinafaso, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Indonesia, Senegal, Afghanistan, Ghana, and Myanmar.
